Saint Francis of Assisi school was opened in 1929. We presently occupy three buildings, with the Pre-School classes held in the building adjacent to Conway Hall. The stone school building contains classrooms for Kindergarten, Grades 1-3, main  office, computer lab, nurse's office, Delaware County Intermediate Unit  remediation and counseling room. The brick building presently contains classrooms for Grades 4-8, principal's office, faculty room, Honors math classroom and contains a combination auditorium/gymnasium. St. Francis of Assisi School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1984.

St. Francis of Assisi Preschool

 

 Our Preschool Program is expanding ! A Prek 3 and a PreK 4 classroom will be available for the 2016-2017 school year. Children's placement is determined by age. A child must be 3 years old by August 30 for Prek 3 and 4 years old by August 30 for Prek4. Developmentally appropriate activities and learning centers are provided at all times.

We offer 3 -4 -5 day full day and half day options.

Pre-School Curriculum

Our faith based academic curriculum is based on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia guidelines , PA. Early Learning Standards and the award winning Investigator Club curriculum.

Our guidelines seek to encourage social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual growth in the Pre-Kindergartner. Each child will be introduced to a learning environment rich in opportunities for growth and development.

Weekly specials include church visits and school Mass, School library visits, Gym Class , Computer Lab , Art Class , Science Experiments , Cooking & Baking and Music and Movement.

Both classrooms have SmartBoard technology and  Ipad usage to enhance academic learning.
