Home and School Fees 2018-19
The SFA Home and School fee is a fee required to be paid by all families if you or your child wishes to participate in any Home and School related activity throughout the school year. The 2018/2019 Home and School fee is $50 per family and is due by October 1st . Home and School fees are used to defray the costs of all Home and School sponsored activities throughout the year. From the Back to School Bagel and Books Breakfast on Day 1 of the school year to teachers gifts on the final day of the school year, our Home and School fees and fundraising covers all costs. Home and School is called up during and after the school year to support on campus improvement projects. We have utilized money raised over the past 2 years for projects such as classroom painting and updating, technology updates such as new laptops for our teachers, printers, classroom whiteboard and most recently and significantly the digitalization of our library and updating of our library over the summer months of 2018. Students will now have online search engine capabilities, a library scanning system, a freshly painted and updated library. Home and School also provides our yearly subscription to iXL, our online learn software and BrainPop, an online application used by our faculty. We sponsor all assemblies and guest speakers for our students as well. Finally, our board provides a scholarship to a student entering the 8th grade each year to cover the cost of their tuition for the year.
